Colon Cancer Awareness

Generally, beginning at age 50, both men and women at average risk for developing colorectal cancer should have a colonoscopy every 10 years.  Colonoscopy screening should begin earlier if you have any personal or family history of colorectal cancer, polyps, or chronic inflammatory bowel disease. March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month- if you would like to schedule a colonoscopy at the Lexington Surgery Center, contact us here to connect with one of our credentialed  physicians.  Average Savings to the colonoscopy patient using an ambulatory surgery center rather than hospital outpatient dept. is $49.
